Specialist in Neurology

Dr. Marco Visconti graduated in Medicine and Surgery in Pavia in 1974 and specialized in Neurology, also in Pavia. In addition to his specialist activities, he practiced General Medicine for 40 years, gaining extensive experience in a systemic, global, and interdisciplinary approach to the patient as a whole, rather than focusing solely on a specific specialty.

He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of organic diseases of the Nervous System (of vascular, degenerative, and inflammatory etiology), with a particular focus on functional disorders such as Stress, Anxiety, and Depression.

From 1975 to 2015, he conducted his clinical activities at the ASST of Crema (Cremona), where he also served as a tutor for three-year specific training courses in General Medicine. He held the role of tutor/evaluator in the practical-evaluative internship preceding the state examination for the medical profession.

Currently, he serves as the scientific director of the National Research Area in Primary Care for Co.S. – National Consortium of General Practitioners’ Cooperatives (comprising 39 cooperatives and approximately 4,500 doctors).

He has published numerous articles and delivered presentations aimed at training family physicians on the correct diagnostic and therapeutic approach for patients suffering from affective disorders, addressing the training gaps often found in medical degree programs.
